About

The NLS Blog is the online companion to the National Law School Journal (the flagship faculty journal of the University launched in 1989) and publishes original research work by NLSIU faculty, the larger research community on campus, and visiting scholars. Launched in November 2021, the platform consolidates research and analysis in law, social sciences, humanities, and public policy to promote internationally peer-recognised scholarly output.

The blog aims to be a reliable and insightful guide to:

  • Contemporary law and policy developments
  • Interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research in the social sciences and the humanities
  • Ongoing cutting-edge research at the University

We uphold high editorial and review standards, and all articles mandatorily go through an anonymous peer review, Editorial Board review, and stages of editing to refine language and structure and improve clarity and accessibility.

We invite all faculty and researchers at NLSIU to contribute to the blog. Please visit our Submission Guidelines page for instructions on how to submit your work to The NLS Blog.

NOTE: The NLS Blog highlights the work of the university’s faculty and research staff. Submissions are accepted only from members of the current NLSIU community via the designated email ID. At present, while we extend invitations to visiting scholars and guests on campus to write for the blog, we do not accept unsolicited submissions from external authors. You may instead reach out to any of the other five blog platforms on the NLS Forum website. If you do not hear back from us, please assume that your article did not meet our submission guidelines.
